“Trump Proposes Global ‘Golden Dome’ & Expansion to 53 States: Greenland, Mexico, and Maybe Canada Too”

A Vision of American Safety, Wealth, and Firearms for All—Whether They Asked or Not

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — Former President Donald J. Trump once again upended the international order this morning with a Truth Social post so sweeping, so audacious, and so fantastical that analysts are still deciphering whether it was satire, strategy, or a preview of his 2028 campaign platform.

“This farce will end quickly when I announce the Beautiful Golden Dome is COMPLETE! Greenland, Mexico, maybe others—welcome as the 51st, 52nd, 53rd States!” he wrote in all caps. “Together we would be so rich, so safe. And yes—we would give them our NEW Second Amendment to protect their WOMEN & CHILDREN! 🇺🇸🇺🇸”

The post, already dubbed the “Golden Manifesto” by X users and political junkies, was accompanied by an AI-generated image of Trump placing an American flag on top of a melting glacier labeled “Greenland—Future State of America.”

What Is the “Golden Dome”?

Trump’s reference to a “Golden Dome” sparked widespread confusion, with many speculating whether it refers to a missile defense shield, an economic trade bloc, or a literal gilded hemisphere stretching from Alaska to Chiapas.

When pressed for clarification, Trump campaign spokesman Taylor Budowich told FNF News:

“The Golden Dome is symbolic of peace through strength. It’s like Iron Dome, but shinier, bigger, and American. Think Fort Knox meets Star Wars defense system—but also maybe a casino.”

Greenland: Still Not For Sale

Greenland, the world’s largest island and a self-governing territory under the Kingdom of Denmark, has long been the subject of Trump’s fascination. His 2019 offer to purchase the icy landmass was met with global ridicule and a firm Danish refusal.

Now, he appears to be skipping the negotiation phase.

“Greenland wants protection. They want prosperity. We give them the 2nd Amendment, and they give us glaciers and minerals. Win-win!” Trump wrote.

Greenland’s Prime Minister Múte Bourup Egede issued a statement through an interpreter:

“We are not for sale. We are not for annexation. And we have no need for unsolicited Second Amendments.”

However, some Greenlanders on social media began posting memes of themselves holding American flags, with captions like: “Do we at least get Costco?”

Mexico: An Invasion Becomes a Merger?

Trump’s expansionist fantasy extends to the south as well, with Mexico suggested as a “52nd state.” After years of pledging to build a wall to keep Mexico out, the former president now seems eager to bring it in.

“Mexico has great people—very strong, very hardworking. But their government? Terrible. If they join America, we give them law and order and McDonald’s everywhere. Also AR-15s.”

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum called the comments “delusional,” adding:

“We are an independent nation. We do not need American gun culture, nor do we want to be your state.”

That didn’t stop conservative commentators in the U.S. from praising the idea. Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA said on Rumble:

“Let’s be real. Half of Mexico is already in America. Why not make it official and stop pretending?”

The New Second Amendment?

Trump’s mention of a “NEW Second Amendment” sent shockwaves through constitutional law circles.

Legal experts were initially confused—until a Trump adviser confirmed that he is proposing an “enhanced version” of the right to bear arms.

“The idea is to make gun rights universal, not just for Americans but for all who join the Trump Doctrine of Peace Through Superior Firepower™,” said Jason Miller.

The enhanced amendment allegedly includes:

  • Expanded carry rights across all 53 states
  • A “Women & Children First” clause prioritizing defense of families
  • Government vouchers for gun purchases in newly admitted states

Foreign Policy Fallout: Laughter, Concern, and… Interest?

The global response has ranged from deep concern to diplomatic chuckling:

  • Canada responded with a satirical tweet from Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland: “We like maple syrup and socialized medicine. No thanks.”
  • Denmark issued a diplomatic memo to Washington reiterating that “Greenland is not part of any U.S. real estate transaction, imagined or otherwise.”
  • Russia sarcastically offered “full support” for the plan, saying it would simplify future map redrawing efforts.

Oddly enough, Liberland, a self-proclaimed micronation between Croatia and Serbia, formally applied to be the 54th state.

“We believe in guns and Bitcoin,” said President Vít Jedlička. “Trump’s America is our spiritual homeland.”

A Movement or a Meme? MAGA 53 Gains Traction

Within hours, the hashtag #MAGA53 trended on X, alongside #GoldenDome and #WelcomeGreenland. Memes flooded the internet:

  • “Join the Union, Get a Glock!”
  • “Make Mexico McDonald’s Again”
  • “Canada—You Up?”

A “MAGA 53” merch line appeared on Truth Social, including hats embroidered with “51-53 STRONG,” featuring a stitched outline of Greenland and Mexico.

Conclusion: The Republic Expands (In Theory)

While the plan is clearly unconstitutional, diplomatically insulting, and logistically insane, it’s undeniably Trumpian. Grandiose, nationalistic, media-grabbing, and based more in feeling than fact.

And whether you’re laughing, cringing, or wondering if Texas would agree to a second statehood, the message is clear: Trump isn’t just running to win—he’s running to redraw the world.

“America doesn’t just have borders,” he posted hours later.
“It has destiny.”
