Barron Trump College Rumors Swirl Amidst NYU Enrollment Confirmation

    FNF News | May 24, 2025

Recent online rumors suggesting that Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, was rejected from Harvard, Columbia, and Stanford have reignited public interest in the Trump family’s private affairs. However, no verified evidence supports these claims, and credible reports from mainstream media indicate that Barron has enrolled at New York University (NYU) for the upcoming academic year.

    Rumors vs. Reality

The rumors originated from a series of social media posts and speculative articles claiming that Barron Trump applied to—and was rejected by—multiple Ivy League and elite universities. These claims have since spread across platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Reddit.

However, fact-checkers at USA Today and Newsweek report that no official confirmation from Harvard, Columbia, or Stanford has been made public. University admissions processes are confidential, and institutions rarely comment on individual applicants.

A representative from NYU’s admissions office, speaking on background to Newsweek, confirmed that Barron Trump is expected to join NYU this fall, although the specific program has not been disclosed. This aligns with a May 2024 report in People Magazine, which cited family insiders saying Barron would be pursuing studies in business or media at a university in New York.

    Possible Political Undertones

Some observers have linked the rumored rejections to Donald Trump’s past criticisms of these prestigious institutions. During his presidency and in subsequent rallies, Trump frequently accused Ivy League universities of promoting left-wing ideology and fostering “anti-American sentiment.”

According to a Reuters analysis, Trump’s rhetoric toward elite education has led to tensions between conservative political figures and university leadership—potentially fueling public speculation about institutional bias, even in admissions.

Despite this, there is no evidence suggesting that Barron’s supposed rejections—if they occurred—were politically motivated. The former President and his family have not commented publicly on the matter, instead maintaining privacy around Barron’s educational path.

    Privacy and Public Curiosity

At just 18 years old, Barron Trump remains largely shielded from the political spotlight that surrounds his family. Unlike his siblings—Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric—Barron has rarely spoken in public and has largely stayed out of political events.

Still, the curiosity around his college choices has become a talking point, especially among Trump supporters and critics alike. Political commentator Sarah Isgur noted on CNN, “What we’re seeing here is a fascination with the Trump family brand more than any real issue about academic merit.”
