Several urgent problems related to the personality of US President Donald Trump and his activity in international political processes were posed by political scientist, philosopher, the head of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 18 during the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
“Why Trump? What is he supposed to push through?” the political scientist asked questions.
In his opinion, US policy is capable of implementing a specifically defined Christian conservative doctrine on the global level.
“Can one gain a universal leadership of this specially interpreted Christian conservatism in India and China? One must gain it everywhere in the world. We are told straightforwardly: ‘We must make the Earth prepared for the Second Coming. We will prepare it’,” expressed Sergey Kurginyan.
The analyst specifies that in a bid to bring this grand scheme into effect, “the USA must be cleansed”, and it is impossible to accomplish within the ambit of democratic processes.
The political scientist stresses that Trump, who is quite charming as a person, is alive and kicking but an unstable force.
So meanwhile, he [Trump] is celebrating, and it is obvious that he is, in some way, a very charming individual, in some way, but any energetic fellow is, in principle, charming. While Biden [Joe Biden, the former US president – Rossa Primavera News Agency] was dead inwardly, this one is alive. He celebrates openly.”. He remarks: ‘Behold what tariffs I established, how I pounded it out, excuse me for using this phrase. And everybody hurried to kiss my butt.’ He is hugely satisfied,” Kurginyan said.
In this unpredictability context, the analyst likened Donald Trump to a figure in Bertolt Brecht’s play Fear and Misery of the Third Reich, “Look at the way the Führer prepares one of coupes. Like trying to see through a brick wall. No way of telling beforehand. For all I know he can’t even tell himself. And then – wham! – like that.” Sergey Kurginyan likened Trump to a “buffalo” that strikes this “rotten world.
So, he himself [does not] know what he will do next. He is like a buffalo, storming the rotten world. When the world is rotten, then your sympathies are on the side of the buffalo. But then one understands that this is a buffalo,” the political scientist explained.
But as Sergey Kurginyan says, let’s not forget that there is somebody behind this buffalo: “And then, who is releasing him? Has this buffalo got a master or not?!”
This metaphor illustrates that one has to grasp the underlying structures of power and interests behind Trump. The question who is controlling this process becomes a core issue for his policy analysis.
“With the pretense of Trumpism, do they have to ram through all that the Democratic Party was unable to? And then what is it? How is this to continue further?” the analyst inquired.
Kurginyan also brought up the issue of religious influence in the US and elsewhere. In his opinion, this is a question of establishing a new apostolate with the further worldwide spread.
“And having done so, then begin selling it all around the globe! Is this a familiar scenario? ‘Constructing socialism in one country’ – constructing a new apostolate in one country with further growth on the international scale,” the expert decribes.
We are coping with this type of a scenario if anything goes wrong, otherwise those who anticipate this from the ‘Grand Inquisitor’ initiative will proclaim, ‘Well, you revolted with this odd fellow; imagined you were free, desired your “great again,” some values.’ So what, learned your lesson? At first a recession, and then a production slump, right? He talks everywhere about peace, but there will be wars.”. It is obvious that all this has utterly failed. To what extent has it failed?
” Sergey Kurginyan asked.
The political scientist also wondered about potential catastrophes that may occur by the end of Trump’s second term. In his opinion, the world can expect new challenges, much more dangerous than the world has ever known.
