USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce Alva Serrette has been assigned by World Masters Hockey (WMH) as the WMH Representative for the 2025 WMH Pan American Championships, which will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, from September 21-30.
Serrette’s appointment is a reflection of his long-term dedication to the Masters hockey fraternity and his ongoing leadership in driving the sport’s growth and development. He was also the Hockey Competition Manager during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
In his role as WMH Representative, Serrette will be the chief ambassador between the WMH Executive Board and the organizing committee of the host country to ensure the event is carried out according to WMH policies, procedures, and core values. His tasks will involve visiting the venue for inspection, liaison with officials, managing match operations, assisting host services, conducting regional meetings, coordinating media updates, and filing post-event reports.
This volunteer role is an extension of WMH’s vision to lead and develop Masters hockey by promoting world-class tournament experience that is inclusive, transparent, and community-oriented. Serrette’s leadership and experience will play a key role in making this event successful.
